Activites & Entertainment
At Caldey Grange, we believe in creating joyful, fulfilling days for our residents—filled with meaningful activities, shared moments, and plenty of laughter. While we may be a small home, we have a big heart when it comes to keeping life vibrant and engaging.
Our dedicated part-time Activity Coordinator, supported by our enthusiastic care team, work to provide a variety of stimulating activities tailored to the interests and needs of each resident. From gentle games, crafts, and music to lively conversation and quiet moments of connection, we’re here to support everyone in doing the things they love—at their own pace, and always by choice.
Creativity, comfort, and companionship are at the heart of what we do. Residents can enjoy painting, seasonal crafts, gardening in our outdoor spaces, or simply sharing stories over a cup of tea. Our bright conservatory often becomes the hub of activity, especially during visiting entertainment, themed events, or relaxed social afternoons.
For those who enjoy a bit of adventure, we occasionally organise local outings—to nearby attractions, scenic spots, or community events. These trips offer opportunities for fresh air, new sights, and shared experiences. For those who are able and wish to staff can support Residents for short holiday breaks away from the home.
We also welcome a variety of visiting performers throughout the year, from musicians and singers to school choirs and community groups. And for animal lovers, our occasional pet therapy sessions bring the joy and calm of well-trained animals into the home—always a highlight for residents and staff alike. Every month we welcome the local church congregation who provide a service for those who wish to practice their faith.
Whether it’s a quiet activity in a small group or a larger celebration, our goal is always the same: to help every resident feel involved, valued, and uplifted.
Spiritual Well-being
At Caldey Grange great care is taken to offer those with faith in all religions to be enabled to continue to practise as they wish. A Church service is held on the first Friday of every month. The local Catholic Priest makes regular visits and representatives of all faiths and denominations are welcome to attend in order to give respectful provision to all who reside at the Home.
