Professional Care

Our dedicated care team is committed to continuous learning, regularly taking part in refresher courses and specialised training to stay up to date with best practices. This ongoing development helps us deliver the highest quality care and support to our residents every day.

Our team extends beyond care staff to include our dedicated housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance teams. While they may not be directly involved in personal care, they play a vital role in daily life at Caldey Grange—regularly interacting with residents and helping to create the warm, family-like environment we’re so proud of. It’s a place where every resident is truly known, valued, and made to feel right at home.

Our home is supported by regular visits from local healthcare professionals, including GPs and community nurses. We also welcome visiting podiatrists, opticians, and other professionals to ensure all aspects of well-being are looked after. Our excellent working relationships with these professionals allow us to respond quickly and effectively, promoting the best possible outcomes for each individual.

Residents also benefit from regular visits from our local qualified hairdresser.

At Caldey Grange, our focus is on supporting residents with early-stage dementia and similar needs in a setting that feels warm, calm, and familiar. Our staff are trained, empathetic, and always ready to help—day or night.

We also offer day care services when available, providing short-term support and social interaction for those who may benefit from time spent in a warm and welcoming environment.

Supporting Families

We are very proud of our Relatives Support Group, which we run for Relatives and Friends of our Residents. The Group meets bi-monthly. We truly understand the help and support that can be attained through this opportunity to share each other’s experiences and support each other in, what can be, very testing times.

Our Commitment to Quality

To help maintain our high standard of care, we have an annual audit, where we ask all our Residents, if appropriate, Residents Relatives and supporting professionals to complete a questionnaire on many aspects of the Home as we understand the value of feedback. We also have an open door policy, in that we are always happy to talk through any matter at the earliest opportunity.
